Moderate inflammation of the cervix usually does not resolve on its own and requires medical intervention. Cervical inflammation may be related to pathogenic infection, mechanical injury, chemical stimulation and other factors, and usually manifests as abnormal leucorrhea, contact bleeding, lower abdominal pain and other symptoms. It is recommended to seek medical treatment promptly to clarify the cause of the disease and standardize treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

Moderate cervical inflammation is mostly caused by bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Common pathogens include Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, human papilloma virus, etc. These pathogens can destroy the cervical mucosal barrier and cause local congestion, edema and inflammatory exudation. If not treated in time, inflammation may lead to infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, fallopian tube adhesions, and even affect fertility. Commonly used clinical drugs include Baofukang suppository, anti-metritis tablets, doxycycline hydrochloride tablets, etc., which need to be used according to the results of etiological examination.

In rare cases, mild cervical inflammation may resolve on its own due to improved sexual hygiene or increased immunity. However, moderate inflammation has obvious histopathological changes, and it is difficult to recover simply by relying on self-repair. Long-term untreated cervical inflammation may develop into chronic cervicitis, increasing the risk of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. It is necessary to avoid daily vaginal douching, reduce the use of sanitary pads, prohibit sexual intercourse during treatment, and regularly review cervical TCT and HPV screening.

Keep the vulva clean and dry, choose pure cotton breathable underwear and change it in time. The diet should be light and rich in vitamins and avoid spicy and irritating foods. Exercise appropriately to enhance your physical fitness, but avoid swimming, cycling and other activities that may cause local friction. If there is odor in the secretions, abnormal bleeding, or worsening pain, you should return to the clinic immediately. Do not stop the medication or extend the course of treatment without authorization.
