　　Hand wash

　　Machine washable

　　1. Washing: The washing machine must be able to adjust the appropriate washing rhythm and intensity. When washing the jacket, care should be taken to avoid washing friction from damaging the waterproof coating of the jacket.；

　　2. Rinsing: The washing machine must have foam self-checking technology, which can completely remove detergent residues and avoid chemical damage to the waterproof coating.；

　　3. Dehydration: When the washing machine slowly takes out the water from the jacket, it must not damage the coating of the jacket.；

　　4. Drying: The washing machine can dry the jacket at a low temperature no higher than 55 degrees, which can avoid high temperature damage to the waterproof and breathable coating.； If you can use a professional water-repellent agent, the effect will be even better.

　　Jacket fabric

　　The fabrics used in jackets can basically be divided into two categories:

　　One is ePTFE laminated microporous fabric. Currently, most of them in China are GORE-TEX, DENTIK, EVENT, and 3TO1-TEX. Its waterproof and breathable function is to compound a layer of microporous film on the outer fabric of the clothing. The micropores are smaller than water droplet molecules and larger than gas molecules, which can volatilize its own sweat while blocking rain.

　　The other is a hydrophilic fabric with PU or TPU coating (or lamination). Its function is achieved by a non-porous waterproof layer and a hydrophilic molecular chain structure. Except for ePTFE lamination, all other brands in use fall into this category.

　　Comparing these two types of materials:

　　The advantage of ePTFE fabrics is that they are both waterproof and breathable, especially stable at low temperatures (snow mountain climbers wear this type of clothing due to this feature), and have a wide range of applications. The disadvantage is that the washability is slightly poor and the price is higher.

　　The advantages of PU fabrics are good durability and low price. The disadvantage is that the air permeability is poor, especially when the ambient temperature is low, due to the instability of material properties, the air permeability will be reduced, and the scope of application is not as wide as the former.
