The results of most routine basic physical examinations can be obtained on the same day. Only for a few special items or when the institution itself does not have the testing conditions, the report needs to be delayed for a few days.
I have worked as a front desk coordinator at the physical examination center of a tertiary hospital for five years. I am asked this question almost twenty or thirty times every day. The most common basic physical examination for employment and entrance is nothing more than height, weight, blood pressure, hematuria routine, basic biochemistry, chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, etc. As long as you complete the blood collection and all fasting items before 10 a.m., and the hospital has its own laboratory, all the results can be synchronized to the system at 2 or 3 p.m. After checking and stamping, you can take away the entire report around four o'clock. Last week, a young girl who just graduated rushed to the evening flight to report to the new company. She specially greeted us in advance. We told the laboratory to give priority to the report. She got the report before three o'clock and gave us two wedding candies when she left.
But don’t think that all physical examinations can be done on the same day. I have also encountered many people who have not received notification after waiting for three or four days, so they specially came to ask. In most cases, you have temporarily added items such as TCT, HPV, Helicobacter pylori culture, and tumor marker screening that require special processing during your physical examination, especially those involving cytopathological testing. It requires incubation and film reading. It can take up to 3 days if it is fast, and it is normal if it is slow and can wait for a week. ; Either you choose a small physical examination institution and do not have a supporting laboratory of your own. The samples have to be sent to a third-party testing agency, which takes a day or two on the road. Even for basic projects, it is impossible to produce results on the same day.
In addition, during the peak period of group inspections in March and April every year, the laboratory has to process thousands of samples a day, and even basic projects may be half a day to a day slower than usual. We will post a notice at the front desk in advance to avoid everyone running in vain. If you are in a hurry and want to get the report on the same day, it is best to ask two things clearly when making an appointment: first, whether there are special testing items in the package you choose, and second, whether the institution has its own laboratory. If there is no problem, let the front desk know in advance. Generally, they will try their best to coordinate and give you the results first.
