Leucorrhea flowing out like water may be a normal physiological phenomenon or a pathological manifestation.

During ovulation or pregnancy, elevated estrogen levels stimulate cervical glands to secrete more, causing leucorrhea to become thin and watery. This kind of physiological leucorrhea is usually colorless, odorless, moderate in amount, and not accompanied by uncomfortable symptoms such as vulvar itching. A similar phenomenon may also occur before menstruation.

If watery leucorrhea continues to flow out in large amounts, it may indicate a pathological problem. Bacterial vaginosis often causes a thin, grayish-white discharge with a fishy odor. The characteristic manifestation of fallopian tube cancer is a large amount of watery leucorrhea. Bloody, watery leucorrhea may also occur in advanced stages of endometrial cancer or cervical cancer. In addition, vaginal foreign body irritation or pelvic inflammatory disease may also cause abnormal discharge.

It is recommended to keep the vulva clean and dry, choose cotton underwear and change it frequently. Avoid using harsh washes to avoid disrupting the normal flora balance. If watery leucorrhea lasts for more than 3 days, or is accompanied by symptoms such as odor, itching, and abdominal pain, you should seek medical examination in time. The doctor may conduct routine leucorrhea, cervical scraping, B-ultrasound and other examinations to confirm the diagnosis, and provide corresponding treatment according to the cause.
