The relatively recognized criterion for judgment in the industry now is essentially the "dynamic fit between the individual and the workplace environment" - it does not mean that there are no negative emotions such as anxiety and grievance, nor does it mean that you must never give in and always be enthusiastic, but that your emotions and behavior will not be affected by work, and you can cope with the normal pressure in the professional scene, and will not be exhausted to the point of overdrafting your normal life.
In fact, there is no unified conclusion on this standard. Many traditional business managers will think that workplace mental health is "resistance" to put it bluntly. Being able to withstand KPIs, not bringing personal emotions to work, and not easily breaking down and resigning when encountering problems. Even if the standards are met, many HRs will even regard "never complaining about work" as a core indicator of mental stability when evaluating employees.
However, this judgment standard has been overturned by many front-line employees and EAP practitioners in recent years. I have been working on employee psychological assistance for almost 6 years, and I have met a little girl who works in the head Internet operation. She worked for 20 days during the Double 11 last year, connecting with more than a dozen brands, and responded to thousands of messages every day. When I was stressed, I hid in the fire escape. After crying for 10 minutes, she wiped her tears and turned around to sort out her schedule. After the event, she gave herself three days off and went to the beach for a few days. When she came back, she immediately regained her full strength. According to previous standards, her "mood swings" were definitely not considered mentally healthy, but in fact, her state was much healthier than those of her colleagues who kept silent about it and had insomnia every day in private.
In fact, to use an inappropriate analogy, the mental state in the workplace is a bit like the mobile phones we use every day. It does not always have to maintain 100% power to be normal. It is normal to lose power quickly when encountering high-power consumption project scenarios. As long as you have your own charging method and do not use battery bulges or leaks, which will affect core life functions such as making phone calls and taking photos, it is completely fine.
I have previously followed up on a case of a research and development position where a boy worked on a project for eight consecutive months and never showed any negative emotions in front of his colleagues. Even the leader praised him for his stable mentality and being a role model for the team. However, he fainted at his workstation on the day the project was launched. When he went to the hospital for a checkup, he found out that he could only sleep two or three hours a day for more than three months in a row and relied on sleeping aids to barely rest. He was afraid that if he showed tiredness, he would be considered to have poor ability to withstand stress. This superficial "stability" is essentially a sign of sub-mental health.
There is actually no need to set any unified quantitative standards. Think about it with your own conscience. If you wake up every morning and think about work, you will not be so scared that you want to pretend to be sick and skip work. When you encounter difficult customers and colleagues who blame you, you can either fight back or forget about it. After get off work, you still have the energy to eat something good, watch a TV show or go shopping with friends, and you will not be filled with troubles at work and unable to sleep. This is basically a healthy state of workplace psychology.
